Soletanche Bachy honoured again at the 2019 TP Awards

Soletanche Bachy France wins in the “Equipment and Uses” category for its “hydro-expansif joints for diaphragm walls”

04.12.2019

Just for a change, Soletanche Bachy France was honoured at the last TP Awards held on Wednesday 28 November in Paris.

This innovation – developed by Daniel Viargues (Chairman, Soletanche Bachy France), Sara Cascarino (Contract Manager, Soletanche Bachy France), Annette Esnault-Filet (R&D Project Manager, Soletanche Bachy International), Pierre-Benoît Passot (Works engineer, Soletanche Bachy France), Quentin Martin-Lavigne (Works engineer, Soletanche Bachy France) and Philippe Jauffret (Site Superintendent, Soletanche Bachy France) – aims to meet our customers’ most demanding waterproofing requirements, by incorporating hydro-expansif joint between two overcut diaphragm walls.

The challenge was to find a new hydro-expansif joint for diaphragm walls, combining the flexibility of the over cut joints, without specific handling, with the quality of waterstop systems. In order to meet this challenge, Soletanche Bachy came up with the idea of combining hydro-expansif joints with over cut joints technology.

The solution was the subject of various on-site tests before being finally deployed on Grand Paris Express project worksites, at Fort d’Issy-Vanves-Clamart station on South line 15 and at Maison Blanche station on line 14.

Congratulations to everyone on this new award. It is the 22nd FNTP award (French National Federation of Public Works) won by the Group.
