Singapore metro: a superb ‘made in Soletanche Bachy’ human and technical success!
Five years after winning the T219 project to build the Orchard station and its associated tunnels, the consortium of Bachy Soletanche Singapore, Bessac and Soletanche Bachy International has just completed its work.

We look back in images on this incredible project that combined technical prowess with multiculturalism and safety. This highly successful project was made all the more complex by the need to construct its umbrella arches using a retractable Micro Tunnel Boring Machine, its cut-and-cover, and the foundations and civil engineering required to build the new Orchard station.
